Energy Quiz!

We will be having an energy quiz on Thursday, February 27th. Students were given a study guide to complete and use to practice. If there are any questions, please let me know!

Homework Update

There will be a change to the homework load. Please note the following changes:

- Spelling activities will be reduced to simply writing a sentence for each spelling word. No additional activities.

- Journal will be assigned once every other week. Students must complete their rubric as well.

- Math sheet each week. This may be a problem of the week OR a practice worksheet

There will be a patterning quiz on Friday, January 31st. Students will be receiving a practice booklet tomorrow.

Spelling Update

Please ensure that your child brings his/her grey spelling duotang to school on Thursday as they will receive this term's spelling lists.

Many students did not submit their journals today and in light of the snow day yesterday, I'm extending the due date until tomorrow (Friday, January 17th). 

Journal Update

Journal writing is part of the weekly homework. Students have been writing stories, information-based compositions, letters, poems, and more. In an effort for students to edit and improve their writing, a laminated rubric will be included in the journal. Students are asked to assess their own writing and choose one area for improvement each week. I have explained this to the class so they are all aware of the new routine.
